Whether this is your first year on the Oklahoma River or you’re returning for another exciting year of competition, the 2009 OCU Boot of the Oklahoma will be a truly unique and thrilling regatta. We welcome you to our city and hope you enjoy your stay. You’ll find the Oklahoma City community to be a passionate supporter of rowing and rowing athletes.

Please note that all races will be held at the Exchange Boathouse, 1391 Exchange Ave on the Western Basin of the Oklahoma River.

Head Races

Oklahoma City University’s Boot of the Oklahoma offers a challenging 4000m head race course. Competitors will race in a clockwise pattern with the starting line at the west end of the river basin. The head races will include events for collegiate, master and junior rowers in singles, doubles, pairs, fours, quads and eights. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event. Select head race events are qualifiers for the 500m OGE Stampede sprints.

OGE Stampede

OGE Stampede 500m sprints take place after head racing concludes for the day on Saturday, 4-7 p.m. Medals will be awarded to the top finisher in each event. Mark your calendars – the OGE NightSprints will return in 2010!

Athlete BBQ

All athletes and coaches are invited to a free BBQ dinner Saturday afternoon, 3-7 pm. Meal vouchers will be provided in your registration packet.
